Exhibition in Herrenberg on the 18th April 2009
"Origin needs future" (mayor Sprißler quoted the future researcher A. Reiter)
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the research group the mayor of Herrenberg Thomas Sprißler opened the exhibition about the citizens of Herrenberg and the results of the family researchers of the working group on Saturday the 18th April 2009.
Andrea used this opportunity to present our Dettling family community to the interested visitors. Beneath the poster about the community she also exposed the Dettling family trees of Rexingen and Salzstetten. An old corn sack from the year 1875 which owned to Jakob Dettling from Rexingen showed an example of the relation to our past.
We were very content with the response of the exhibition with more than 250 visitors. The guest with the farthest arrival was our president Dieter with his wife Hilde from Würzburg, which even was mentioned in the local press. So we can forge some interesting links for our family community, which we will continue to cultivate.
