The Dettling-Book - The History of an old Name
Investigating and collecting within about 20 years of searching, Karl Dettling, past president of our „Familiengemeinschaft“, writed a book about the name „Dettling“, which is unique. His work started, when the production costs were guaranteed. Cousin Rolf from Pforzheim of course took on the production of the book and he did very good work.
In 2003, the 184-page book was published as a result of years of task requiring diligence, deep knowledge about the historical backgrounds and very good cooperation between the different Dettling researchers.
The content includes all topics of the origin of Dettling, naming history up to the different family branches in Germany, Switzerland and Alsace.
