Althengstett, a village a the border of the black forest, is located in the county of Calw.
For the first time the place was mentioned in a document in 1120 with the name Hingstetten.
After the introduction of the reformation in Württemberg by Duke Christoph church books were also created in Althengstett, which served as the basis of a 2017 published family book.

Her parents were Paul "Otto" Widmann and "Rosa" Wilhelmine Straile (from OFB 5249.2). On December 10, 1953, the family moved to Reutlingen.
In his third marriage, 47 year old Eberhard Weiss (OFB # 4982) was born on 21.01.1649 in Althengstett, the son of Johannes u. Catharina (from OFB 5115.4) on 28.10.1696 in Althengstett the Regina Dettling (ev), born in Ottenbronn and deceased on 28.01.1710 in Althengstett. Four years later, Eberhard died on 19.12.1700 in Althengstett. Eight months later, Regina married again on 22.08.1701 with Jacob Widmann (ev) (OFB # 5238), born 1659 as the son of Benedict (from OFB 523.1). After the death of Jakob on 07.02.1709 she married already five months later for the third time on 25.07.1709 the blacksmith Joh. Jakob Gwinner (ev) (OFB # 1719), born 1683 in Gärtringen and died on 08.03.1744 in Althengstett.

Barbara Döttling was born on the 1st. Mar. 1655 in Ottenbronn as daughter of Michel Döttling and Regina. On the 13th. of November 1677 she married in Möttlingen Georg Held (born 11.10.1650), who already died with 40 years on 11.11.1689. with 36 years the widow married two years later the widower Johann Baptist Klump (born 24.06.1691) of Möttlingen. There were four children born and baptimized in Möttlingen: Margaretha (bap. 27.08.1678), Maria Barbara (bap. 14.1.1683), Anna Maria (bap. 6.12.1684, non-married, buried in Möttlingen on 17.1.1711) and Georg Ludwig Friedrich (bap. 16.2.1689) , who already died in the age of half year (buried in Möttlingen on 20.8.1689). In the second marriage with Johann Jacob Klump there are three children: Hanß Jacob (born 29.1.1692), Hannß Michel (born 25.04.1694) and Christina (born 23.12.1697). In the year 1724 Barbara became a widow and her "naughty" daughter Christina got a child of Carabinier (Württemberg) Johann Dettinger: a illegitimate daugther Margaretha Barbara (born 5.2.1724), who died with seven weeks on the 30th of March.
Andreas Friederich Döttling, son of the tailor Andreas Friderich Döttling and his wife Juliana Catharina from Ottenbronn, was nominated of the non-married Agatha Sabina Held, bor 13.12.1735 in Hirsau, as father of her child Elisabetha Dorothea Held in Hirsau born 11.04.1771 (Source is the mixed churchbook of Hirsau 1692-1778, bapt. record p. 141 in book 2 pict. 76). The illegitimate born Elisabetha Dorothea Held married in Hirsau on 3rd August 1800 (Familiy church book I, 159) with 29 years the tailor and police man in Hirsau the widower Jacob Werner Theurer (born 28.10.1752 in Calwer Hof). She died in the 6th year of their marriage in the age of 35 Jahren at asthma. The family had two children: Wilhelm Jacob Theurer, born 15.1801 in Hirsau, died of the naturally pox with nearly 2 years (1.1.1803) in Hirsau. His brother Johann Daniel Theurer (born 10.05.1802) married on 1.3.1840 (FR I, 159b) in Hirsau Anna Maria Schotterbeck from Ohmenhausen close ti Reutlingen. Only 2 years later Johann Daniel died of emaciation.
